My Story

Prior to becoming a life coach, I ran a successful landscape design business. Transitioning between the two professions was a natural progression. Designing, planting and nurturing a garden has much in common with life coaching, and my motivation for doing each is the same. It is one of the great joys in life to see things grow, blossom and flourish, and to know you have helped facilitate this.

It was a roadblock in my own life that first set me on the path to becoming a life coach. Through the process of moving past this problem, I developed a series of techniques, which I shared with friends and family to help them address their own issues. This motivated me to turn my newfound passion into a full-time career.

From an early age I have had an interest in the human mind and people’s habits and behaviours. I have a broad life experience and have been on a journey of self-discovery and self-development for over 20 years. Along the journey I decided to become a life coach so that I can help others with their own self-discovery and find their full potential.

The lesson I live by in life is “it doesn’t matter what happens to you in life it only matters how you handle it.”

My Methods

When working with clients, I have found the strategies employed in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to be particularly effective.

SFBT is a short-term goal-focused approach to therapy that offers clients solutions to the problems that result in unhelpful behaviour rather than focussing solely on the problem. In short, SFBT is a future-oriented approach to therapy that focuses on eliciting positive emotions and hope for the future

Utilising SFBT strategies, I help clients generate a detailed account of how their lives will be altered once their problems are resolved. From there, we develop solutions that will allow them to move forward and achieve this new way of life.
